Peter Philippi

Peter was born in 1954 in Ulm, Germany. He studied Landscape Architecture and Ecology at the Technical University of Munich, Germany and graduated with the degree Diplom Ingenieur (TU) in 1981. 

He has been working in the field ever since. Peter has over thirty years experience in all aspect of green roof design, construction and maintenance. Much of that experience has taken place in Germany were the benefits of green roofs have been well know for decades.

Peter has worked on projects from 6 sq. feet to 6 acres for companies such as Daimler-Chrysler, IBM, Porsche and various Banks and Cities. There are few people in the industry who can bring the wealth of experience and knowledge to your project that Peter can.

In January 2011 Peter will retire from his active function at Green Roof Service LLC. He will still volunteer in the field but also implementing his expertise at Skyland USA LLC.
